Anyone ever hear of 3DMAN by Steve Perrigo?

in DOS
While going through my Magic Eye multimedia cdrom on Windows the other day, I noticed an entry in its "Stereogram-related shareware suggestions" from 1994 called 3DMAN by Steve Perrigo (I believe). This was based on a screenshot on the cdrom. The game apparently used animated stereograms to create a …

Re: How do I setup sound card for Earthseige?

Heh, thanks for the advice sf78. That got me thinking about looking at my sound settings again and noticed Earthseige was looking at DMA channel 1 when I set WSS to DMA channel 0. While this does not solve how to get Sound Blaster specific settings setup on Earthseige, I do now have sound via WSS. …

Re: VGA Capture Thread

I just spent a good deal of today trying to figure out how to capture VGA-standard video signals (320 x 200) with my USB3HDCAP. What I found out so far: without other equipment, the USB3HDCAP will receive a signal, though the resolution of that signal as reported by the capture device is not …

How do I setup sound card for Earthseige?

Hey guys, I have been hitting my head against the wall about this and need some help. I am currently trying to configure Earthseige via SOUNDSET.EXE in MS-DOS mode in Windows 98SE. To my understanding, SOUNDSET only auto-detects sound settings. While I would expect my Sound Blaster settings to be …

Looking for source code for Team 47 GoMAN

in Milliways
Hey guys. I've been trying to find a copy of the source code for Team 47 GoMAN in hopes of being able to get the game to work on something beyond a Windows 95 machine. While the source code was released some years ago ( http://web.archive.org/web/19990429231514/http://www.47-tek.com/source.htm ) the …

Re: Flicker issue with Road Rash '96 on Windows 98

in Windows
@filipetolhuizen: Yah, I installed the latest Liveware drivers. Same result. I'm going to be changing to an ISA sound card for DOS applications, so this should not (in theory) be the issue. I've found a number of problems with Dos emulation and program compatibility with this particular Sound …

Re: Flicker issue with Road Rash '96 on Windows 98

in Windows
OK, figured out why Road Rash was locking up. When I'm using my Sound Blaster Live! (SB0200) (PCI) as the sound device, the game locks up. When I switched back to my on-board sound device, runs fine. So there you go: the Dell OEM Sound Blaster card sucks a lot. Doesn't emulate too well in Dos either …

Re: Flicker issue with Road Rash '96 on Windows 98

in Windows
Good news is the flicker issue seems to be resolved. Now the game locks up every time I enter a race no matter what resolution the game is set at. So far I've tried disconnecting my Sidewinder 3d pro, rolling back the graphics drivers further (nvidia 29.42), and gone back to my 300 mhz processor. …

Re: Flicker issue with Road Rash '96 on Windows 98

in Windows
@filipetolhuizen: Just rolled back to the version 45.23 drivers for Win9x. Flicker issue resolved (solved my flicker problems and models poping in and out in X-Wing vs Tie fighter under 3D acceleration mode as well. WOOT!)! Still have the lock up issue with the 500 Mhz processor installed, but I'm …
