Ok great thanks. Have you played more than one race? I was chatting to gho (author of DXwnd) over on the DXwnd discussion page and he said he got the game working but only up until the second race.

Well that's a shame, doesn't work for me at all through DXWnd, all I get is "rdroid_gnome release build has stopped working" as soon as I start the game. This sure is a problematic title 😠

That's just a replacement installer, won't help with the graphics corruption. I re-wrote the installer in NSIS since Markus' one is a little over-complicated, but the graphics corruption thing is somewhat harder to solve, unfortunately.

I think this is the exe that may sort out the white graphics problem That .exe still has corrupt graphics. You can also try the fix from my page - http://www.play-old-pc-games.com/2013/12/02/s … pisode-i-racer/ It doesn't work for everyone though.

Isn't the point of fake antivirus to get customers to buy fake antivirus licenses to clean up the fake infections and thus scam them out of money? With all the money they made on that scam I am sure they got laid... one way or another.

There were definitely some malicious custom firmware releases for PSP too, though I don't think they did much more than just brick your console.

I used a Startech PEXHDCAP capture card to record VGA and other resolutions up to around 720p, worked great. Cost me just under £100. Obviously you will need a second PC with the capture card installed, it won't work in such an old PC.

OpenAL, EAX, ALchemy or not, Killing Floors surround sound/EAX support does NOT work properly in anything other than Windows XP. While I can't speak for everyone's computer it's certainly true on mine.
