Have you tried a different PSU? Or maybe try the PSU From the computer which works?

Managed to fix it using a file I found from the "GTA 3DFX Demo" Put this in the "GTADOS" folder and you're good to go 😀

I won the heatsink for £0.99 GBP on an ebay auction - new and sealed! It's listed as a socket 462 cooler but fits socket 370 also. Here are some quick 3dMark benchmarks. I have tweaked the BIOS as much as I can but there doesn't appear to be any proper overclocking options ... Thanks, yeah i've got a few 80mm fans on order for it, hopefully get those put in next week. I was originally going to use some spares that I have in a box but they're all pretty old and noisy.

I second other posters here in that I would go for a 3dfx card... Voodoo 3 is a good choice as its the cheapest Voodoo card to find used and has decent performance. For early Windows games GLIDE was the API of choice for 3d acceleration 😀

Interesting, I've been working on a similar system but based on a 180 MHz Pentium Pro. We even have the same audio card. My video card is a Matrox Millennium 4 MB. I just ran PCP Bench and got 55 fps. I'd be interested to see some other benchmarks for this system. Sure, always fun to compare …

Turns out it was a problem with the version of DIAGNOSE that comes with the package I linked I used the version from here http://support.creative.com/downloads/downloa … nDownloadId=271 and it works fine and lets me test the card
