Came back again with a new NetVista rig! Specs: Gigabyte GA-6WMMC7 Samsung SP1603N HDD (160GB) 256MB RAM Intel 810 Chipset NEC 3540A DVD-ROM Pentium 3 800MHz processor IBM Etherjet 10/100 NIC.

Hmn.....The BIOS chip kind of seems new to me....is it a PCChips board?I remember those had BIOS chips like the one in your picture.

I checked and not all 810 are limited to 100mhz.For example,810E supports 133MHz. For the beeps,I checked everything.Basically the screen's power led turns green,I have signal and the board's bios starts up but all the while I have a continuous beep for a few seconds then clicks as if I kept pressed …

I tried it before but for some weird reason it kept beeping and clicking while it was loading,and boot would hang.(Windows 98) Any ideas why?Also,I heard 815 has 512MB limitation.Does this apply to the 810 too?

cdoublejj,it's an old XP lite disc I used because I have a really small HDD atm,10GB but it's going to be replaced by a 1TB SATA HDD I extracted from a Verbatim external HDD(note to self:any enclosure like this might have an treasure inside!)

Not really,since it was installed from some old lite XP CD i found through my CD collection.Back before I ran XP I ran Vista lite and 7 lite on this PC too.

You better swap it (the PSU)since it's easier to change it than open it and swap electronics.Still,if you said they fit you opened the PSUs?

Pretty weird.I had a K7S5A which I used frequently and it didn't die on me,even though it had G-Luxon,"the said so"bad caps.And even VRM MOSFETs didn't pop out.Only thing that annoyed me was it didn't remember CMOS settings.

What's wrong with them?They are fine.I had worse situations than that.(Albatron KM-400T-8X,a ton of missing caps,I was lucky to get it at least boot to DOS or something,it was called Modern DOS Machine back when I had it because that was the only thing I could run on it)
