I know this may be sacrilege to some, but Im asking it anyway... If you have retro (but not super old) parts in a modern case (Athlon 64 and a Core2Quad) and you want to light it up, are led light strips an option or do they require 4 pin RGB connectors? Is there another way to connect them? If not …

I meant both cables I've tested have twists in them. I know the twist goes in the floppy drive side. I've tried them various ways with no luck.....maybe the cables are both just bad.....turned them around..... Im guess bad cables...

Sorry, I wasnt thinking when I posted....it is a 34 Pin Floppy cable........ The cable has the twist in it, both of them do....not sure what is up....its multiple boards and multiple floppy drives as well.....

I've never modified a BIOS before, but Im all for giving it a go.....I've flashed cards with different BIOS lots of times, but never made any changes to the actual BIOS. Can you recommend a program to edit the BIOS? Any good sites to find Hardware IDs and other settings? Yeah, the X850XT PE is the …

I wouldn't bother trying to find a X850XT PE. You would gain somewhere between 0 and 15% performance, so not much. You could try to overclock it and get a bit more performance. If a Windows 98 game is struggling with your X800 XL then the problem is elsewhere (CPU, memory, AGP speed etc.) Thanks, …

Why is it that some older (386 / 486) motherboard's recognize a CF card in a IDE CF Adapter and some require Drive Overlay software for it to be recognized? I assume its the BIOS, but is there an exact reason why it happens?
