For removing just use a slot cover, insert it under the side slightly and then twist it. Do this on all edges and you should be able to pop it out fairly easily.

Understandable, but for the yavin levels to be utterly 100% unplayable at any settings despite the game otherwise being fine makes me question things.

Yeah that's my thinking, waiting on a benchmark to test against to proceed further. That'll confirm if it really is underperforming.

Do you have any suggestions? Same ones I used for the Geforce 2 MX I had once (I have a /thing/ about not using low end cards >.>) and I think it was 12.something. E: for 98SE and 2000.

If you lower the Tualatin to 1000 at a 100mhz FSB it should be nearly equal.

The specs of it are a Geforce 256 DDR, Coppermine 933, with 256 megs of ram. Voodoo 2 SLi for the rare Glide game and an SB Live! 256 megs of ram. The yavin levels in Jedi Outcast are absolutely unplayable despite this being pretty much top-end when that game came out, and Neverwinter Nights is …

I use a Geforce 256 in mine for 'dating', a Geforce 2 high end would be perfect though for "high end 2000". A TnT2 wouldn't be bad but it'd be underpowered.

Of some note is that I had this board originally and, if I recall right, it failed to work if a TAG ram module or cache was installed. I think, I'm actually unsure but that might help find a solution.

Alright so this project is no doubt stupid but I'm curious- is there a way to, at the firmware level, force a PIII 450 to ID as a PII 450? Running the actual bat made it work fully, cool. Now, the Yamaha emulates SB Pro (reversed, but it does) and the SB Live! emulates SB16. Is there any reason to want to emulate a pro over a 16, or should I just use the yamaha as a dos midi out like I was planning? Works fine combined with the SB Live …

Oddly, even with DSDMA I can't get sound. Dark Forces imuse doesn't detect anything, Doom doesn't make any sound. Midi still works though. Without DSDMA stuff just crashes, so man that's weird. Either nothing, or crashes. Does anyone know /how/ to use DSDMA? Just running it gives some generic line …

For the record yes, it does work. However I found out two things. 1: The YMF724 is unusable alone without a missing DSDMA file I can't find. 2: However, if I disable the SBblaster emulation on it, switch the Live midi emulation to port 300, and then enable only Midi out and OPL on the Yamaha through …
