Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

You're not playing any dos games (or probably any games) with this, but someone might like it. This is not for sale by me, just something I saw. TDK 9000 boxed, looks to be in Japanese. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id= … 3788060&alt=web

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

The Panasonic sound cards are not going to do SB emulation in pure dos, you're only going to get adlib music. If someone knows a magic trick to get both to work please do let me know! I think you will be hard pressed to find a pcmcia card that does both of those and has a gameport...actually it will …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

That's awesome! I keep meaning to make disk images of mine, photograph everything and post it all up here...where to find the time. Here is a quick one of a new in box KXL-D745 (except I tested it out, so I guess not so new now). A KXL-D720 sound kit boxed. Also a KXL-D720 with sound kit (missing …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

ODWilly is right that the best option is ebay, but you will really have to be diligent and patient. You will need to do your research and setup about 50 searches that notify you when a match happens. I have it on my list to update this thread with images of what I've picked up lately...need to get …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

I don't think it's a clone of the Turtle Beach because I read it has no dos support at all, where this card seems to work fine for adlib music in dos. I assume that in windows it wouldn't magically gain SB support but I have no tried. I've sent you the contents of the disks with some more …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

I just got in a Media Magic 16 bit audio board pcmcia from ebay. Super easy setup and adlib music works flawlessly when tested with doom, duke3d and wolf3d. Doesn't appear to support soundblaster unless I'm missing something. The breakout box has a line in, out, mic in and a midi in. Have to jiggle …

Re: PCMCIA Sound Cards

I'm looking for a 16 bit pcmcia sound card that has drivers for Dos/Win 3.11/Win95. In all of those environments I would want sound blaster emulation and both sound effects and music. It's ok if the music can't be soundblaster and has to be one of the other choices.

Re: IPXRelay for Real Dos/Win 3.11/Win95?

in DOS
Compiling it would be great. I spent a few hours yesterday trying to get it to compile using MGWin and was unsuccessful. I wasn't trying to change the code at that point, just compile it. I'll keep at it. getaddrinfo is what it was bombing out with and I saw the same page about that being there for …

Re: IPXRelay for Real Dos/Win 3.11/Win95?

in DOS
Yeah, Win95 has Winsock2 WS2_32.DLL but it is still different than the one with WinXP and higher. When I google the error messages from the IPXRelay app the errors say that the Win95 WS2_32.DLL < WinXP doesn't have that functionality. If only there was a relay that worked everywhere 😀

IPXRelay for Real Dos/Win 3.11/Win95?

in DOS
There is a pretty snazzy program called IPXRelay for DosBox that lets you play IPX games over TCP/IP. However, the current binary requires WinXP for some of the WS2_32.DLL calls that it does. I think with some small tweaks this open source app could run on Dos/Win 3.11/Win95 as well. Does anyone …
