Re: Good 4:3 LCD Monitor

What about 320x200 and 320x240? I don't have a MS-DOS system currently setup to test it with, but I had done some testing in the past. It will sync to those resolutions, but it does framerate conversion for anything that is not 60hz. I remember also that it did lose sync during some of the sections …

Re: Good 4:3 LCD Monitor

Can you test it with PixPerAn at 70 and 75hz, probably at low resolution (640x480 or 800x600)? If it does skip frames you will see it immedieatly. So I tested it with PixPerAn at both 640x480 and 800x600 at 70 and 75Hz. It was dropping frames on all of them. I also tried it at native res (1600x1200 …

Re: Good 4:3 LCD Monitor

I still own it, if you would like me to I can hook it up and test whatever modes you would like me to. I've been using it in "Mame cabinet" running Lakka for a while, which converts everything to 60Hz anyway, but I can hook it up to something else for testing if that would be helpful.

Tandy and CMS sampling rate

So about 6 months ago I got an Acer XF270HU, which is a 1440p 144Hz IPS Freesync capable monitor, and about a month ago I got a Freesync capable GPU (RX 480). Over the past few days I have been doing some testing and here is what I have found. I didn't start out this post meaning to write a full on …

Re: Audigy 2 ZS in Win10?

I didn't have any problems using one with Daniel K's Audigy Support Pack. I recently swapped it out for an original X-Fi and it works just fine too. I honestly couldn't tell any difference sound quality wise between either and the Realtek onboard or using the analog out of my monitor along with HDMI …

Re: The curse of retro computing.

in Milliways
My day job is working with adaptive technology for the disabled, so of course someone once asked me to fix their neighbors computer "because he's blind." It worked out very nicely though, all he needed was a stick of DDR-333 replaced, which I had a box full of, and in return he gave me a computer he …
