Re: Pentium MMX 450MHz

I have tested quite a few boards with a Tillamook (with and without mods on the cpu). 3 different versions of the Epox mvp3 board: NO GO. Aopen ax59pro: NO GO Asus P5A and P5A-B (every revision of these boards as well) : NO GO Asus SP97-V: NO GO Asus SP98agp-X: NO GO 2 different mvp3 DFI boards: NO …

Re: Pentium MMX 450MHz

Sorry for the bump, I received another tillamook from a chinese ebay seller, in the meanwhile I redid the soldering. I'm using the Aopen AX59 PRO once again, both cpus do not boot with default voltage, the system boots but hangs at the post screen with v2.2, this happens with both cpu, the system …

Re: AMD K6 3DMARK, aiming for stars.

I used a minimal setup, just getting scores without any sound etc. installed. The really high scores can only be gotten by using a geforce2/3 with earliest drivers as possible. Re: AMD K6 3DMARK, aiming for stars.

I have the same Epox board (and 3 others ss7 from Epox with Via chipset, also have a DFI board, Aopen and a chaintech....maybe more). I would have liked to give it a go but I just don`t have the time or patience right now! My only running ss7 system is based on my favorite P5A, the rest is stored …

Ram chips seemed fine so I had a perfect donor for the mod! Used a heatgun to simply take all the ramchips off both cards and because …

Re: My collection of Late-era AGP cards

It's extremely rare, and quite historic as a very famous misstep from nvidia, that they later corrected. What is extremely rare? How many were manufactured? I can think of many things that are old and rare, but not worth much. The fact that you can find 2 on ebay in a 5 second search, at a random …

Re: My collection of Late-era AGP cards

But I'm pretty sure I'll trade all of them for a XGI Volari Duo. I woudn't. While it certainly has interesting monetary value, it's practically useless for anything. Horrible chip with horrible drivers. But I do remember the hype buildup until release and the flock of zealots hailing it as the …
