Check if the green NiMH CMOS battery under the keyboard has leaked already onto the mainboard. Might not be related to the issue, but still.

I've used Win2k on the same board, with 64MB RAM+120MHz P1 and it ran noticeably slower than Win98(FE), mainly because of lack of RAM. I think the chipset can only cache 64MB, you might get a speed boost in 98 if you remove 64MB, but that would make Win2k less usable. I personally value the great …

I don't think you can force Proteus/1 to be GM compatible simply by altering its patch map. It has an ability to renumber its patches, but this doesn't apply to drum sets. And while Proteus/1 has several drum sets, none of them are GM compatible. Windows 3.1 drivers solve this problem by …

Should be identical except it is a mask rom instead of an eprom. Looks like it was made in 1990 so it's a pretty late version
