wut? I tested Blackthorne and it works just fine in DOSBox 0.74. BTHORNE.EXE is a normal DOS executable.

You have to configure the games to use general midi/Roland for the raw midi capture to work. Commander Keen only has Sound Blaster/Adlib option for music.

But you would also have to have 2 active windows at the same time (2 instances of DOSBox). Can't be done, at least not in Windows. Some Linux window managers might support something like that...

Yep, here's a screenshot of the available resolutions. Even though the options window says "Win Size" the available resolutions correspond the active game area (game screen excluding the HUD).
