Yes, hooking itself to an interrupt was how a lot of the TSR programs worked. There is no way to trigger this in DOSbox?

Are you sure your default midi device is correctly selected ? As far as I know (and how dosbox is intended to work) midiconfig=0 => use first device midiconfig= => use default device. Wha...it is enabled by default? OK well then that makes my job a lot easier! I could have sworn I couldn't get it …

Perhaps because midiconfig is setting which device on the host machine is to be used and is not the same from machine to machine? Also the devices any given PC can change order over time. Installing the Munt driver will add yet one more. Having nothing specified makes DOSBox use the systems default …

I'm trying to change CPU speed in DOSbox, but apparently my new Windows 8.1 interprets that as brightness increase? Is this all Windows 8.1 that does this? Anyone else having this problem?

Oh...so I'm still stuck with the soundblaster then? Roland only does music? That's weird. I never heard of a sound card that just does music. Maybe it was meant for professionals?

I followed the guide to set up munt. However, the game still sounds the same. 😵 All that changed was the music, and I have that turned off anyway (it gets really repetitive.) Did I do something wrong?
