Isn't there a retail version that doesn't do this? One of my viewers helped me out, but it could be a modded version, I'm not sure.

I'd take an image just in case, then try the first option. If that fails, do a clean install. If you have several drives, I would just clone it, then try the first option.

Bought an untested lot of 10 GPUs off eBay Australia for AUD 40 shipped. My first time having a go at this. Highlight was this 9800 pro. However it would shut down after a while in 3DMark, but putting on a new cooler and it completed it. It got just over 20k in 3DMark2001 on my GPU test bench. …

It's all good, I encourage you to keep sharing your thoughts. I want to try this extended desktop, as I have this 2D image (BMP file for example) to calibrate my capture card. If I could calibrate it for a V2, that would be awesome.

Let's change the tone a bit, it's way too harsh. There are always different views and things to learn and hearing different perspectives should be encouraged, clarified and discussed without taking it personal. In the end, just agree to disagree and everyone can make up their own mind.

A 3 GB IDE HDD is indeed quite slow and I agree that a SD card will feel much more responsive.

Actually I have a GeforceFX 5200 PCI and similar issues that the screen stays black in older systems. Though I can't pin point the cause exactly.
