Only thing I had to do with them were C64s a breadbin and C64c for the kids. They seemed quite happy at the time, late 80s.

Tried DESCQview/X for while. I wasn't really that stable and you were better with just plain Dos and Win3.x or OS/2 The X windows thing was an interesting concept. Not too many folk ran *nix with X windows back then so really aimed at a niche market.

Having look at the CDS524 and giving it a bit of a house clean. Mobo just slips out the back by undoing a couple of screws, after removing any connectors. Removed the modem(which will not be reinstalled and the D-Link 220 nic. Out with a soft artists brush and at quick dusting and give the edge …

For a start DosBox is not designed to run win95. There are plenty of ways to run Win9x with out using DosBox. Various VMs and VPC setups including MSs own which was originally Connectix mentioned by Jo22. What really is the problem apart from win9x not playing nice with DosBox?

Does it work when irq 15 is specified? The sencondary ide channel normally uses this.
