Is there silkscreening on the board near the power supply that says what voltage is supposed to go to what pin? doesn't matter. The drives will use a standard power connection. That gives you +5 & +12v. testing the rest should reveal a -5v & -12v. anomalous readings is the first thing to look for. …

It's back on. I just purchased another T1600 on eBay for less money than I paid for the last one. I will have to drive 60 miles to pick it up though. Hopefully with my broken one and this 'new' one (also not booting) I will end up with one working laptop.
