And did you also have others Winbond cards that worked? Or just these two? The question is if these Winbonds are extremely easy to die or they don't work on some systems...

I have the same motherboard in my 486 DX4-100 system. 😀 I added an ISA controller card for the floppy interface and COM/LPT ports. Which BIOS version do you have on your motherboard?

Which VXD driver version did you install? VXD 4.12.01.0905? Does this version recognize the SB0060 natively without modding the .inf file?

Where can I find the latest VxD driver (2020)? Is it definitely the best for Win98 gaming with YMF744? In the Yamaha website there aren't any 20** driver and the 1040 version seems to be compatible with all the YMF7x4 series (and not just for YMF724/YMF740 as written in the first post) 😕

I typically run DirectX 7.0a because after lots of experimentation over the years I've found this version to be the last really stable choice. Anything beyond that and I see more frequent BSODs, especially with subsequent launches of 3D programs during a single session. Did you have BSODs ecc... …

This game often does not work on non-Intel CPU. On socket 7 I was able to run it only with a Pentium or Pentium MMX, with a K6-2 it returned the same error as your. On socket 3 it works with a Intel DX4 and AMD 5x86 either, but evidently the Cyrix is not compatible...

Thanks for the answers. I tried to play MI2 on my 486 with an Yamaha Audician 32 sound card, and it does not play 100% correctly because there are some little crackling sound sometimes...I thought the Dreamblaster would solved it 🙁
