That's the reason why i am still using a K6-2 500. The 2+ and iii(+) prices are way too high compared what i've paid for my K6-2 or my athlon thunderbird. The thunderbird i can clock @550, 600, 650 ... and further on. I think, i've paid 3€ - 4€ for the thunderbird.

It depends... Does the MSI K7T Turbo2 have an ISA slot populated? On google search i see versions with or without ISA. So in case it's there and you want also a good DOS compatible PC then i would take this board. If you have an Athlon with 133Mhz or 166Mhz FSB, then i would go for the other KT333 …

Yes, thank you Joseph_Joestar, now it works perfecly. With 75% throttle & L1D , i'll get the doom speed of 386DX-40. The values of 3Dbench and PCPbench are even slower than real 386DX-40.

I thought that there is an option in the bios to deactivate the L1/L2 cache, but setting is not available. My MPV3 board has this option. So i've tried the throttle tool , many thanks to 'Joseph_Joestar'. Actually i cannot reach 386 speed with the thottle of 93%. Doom at minimum settings: 30 fps. …

Have removed the NB-fan. It was really noisy compared to the other new silent fan. I want it relatively silent, even when this was not the approach back in the day.

I've forgot to mention that Win 98 SE 2nd edition is installed. A second PCI soundcard is added, to use it mainly under win98 environment. Have found a matching sticker to the front cover.

Yes , this is the correct setting at pentium P54C 90Mhz. You can set the vcore to 3.3 , 3.4 or 3.5 volt. I would start with 3.3V and then have a look if everything is stable. Also take care to the cooling. EDIT: Anyway, you can try different speed levels with L1 and /or L2 cache disable setting.
