i found what the one missing driver was it was the game port on my sound blaster pci512, its getting replaced with a yamaha dx card, love these card not one problem.

I do love the yamaha sound cards very stable with dos support as well, i have one built into my dell t450. I think I might have turtle beach card at my work, ill have to check. also i do have a awe 64 but the pc im trying to get sound from is pci only.

awesome so i tried a sound blaster pci128 that i found and also found the drivers every thing installed fine, but then it rebooted after installation and now blue screen saying corrupt vxd, i can get into safe mode and i did remove the driver but it still the same.

Ill probably give those cards a shot, it sucks cuz i have 20 different sound blaster cards and not one of them work and its not worth crap on ebay so they might end up in the trash soon

So im looking for a good sounding audio card with awesome driver support and maybe dos drivers as well besides a creative (tired of fighting with drivers, they are a terrible card in my opinion)

ok so i got everest loaded and the one driver im missing is a pci input controller witch is the game port for my creative pci512 card, but the rest of the audio stuff works. So could someone point me in the right direction of the latest driver for that card

lubuntu runs very well on pentium 3 systems and above i had a pentium 3 1ghz 512mb of ram 9550xl and it ran very well i could browse facebook and listen to my mp3s at ease. very simple clean look to it also very well optimized for netbooks. Heres the link its free http://lubuntu.net/

yea ill check the stickers on the board better ill have to pull the pci cards to get a better look and from what i researched this was the only amd kadoka board that gateway had and it supported 450mhz right up to 1ghz

very interesting, so weird that there is not a single capacitor on this board, im hopping i can find a bios upgrade cuz the bios now dosnt have crap at all for settings. I did find the chipset driver tho, but it still shows unknown pci device in win98se right now im running a dual boot 2x 20gb …
