286-Bioses are pretty generic. Headland-Chipset was widely used, you can normally switch them around quite reliably between boards using the same chipset!

It's not that easy. First of all, you need some eproms in the free sockets and check, where in memory they get mapped. You can use my xtide for this as stated in the post. Then you need to fiddle with the jumpers and some memory editor for checking where the rom sits. Maybe you are lucky and your …

The traces from the IC going to the ISA edge are looking fishy. Need a good clean, check and some solder.

You can also change the vrm controller to get coppermine working. It's a simple IC with 1.27mm pitch.

There are no audio signals in the ide cable. There's a separate 4 pin cable for this which is missing on most, if not all sata drives.

One could also check the datasheets and try to connect 1 or 2 simm sockets or modern ram ics directly to the board, effectively skip the sockets entirely.
