Re: Seattle2: an early 1999 PC

I like it. It gives that SECC2 vibe Right? I also prefer this heatsink a million times over the usual SEPP heatsink with its weird bracket to hold it together. Very nice - thanks for taking us through! Thank you for checking out the thread! Missed this until now somehow. Good find on the Video and …

Re: Seattle2: an early 1999 PC

Great job with the 120mm fan for the Voodoo card. That cooler for the Celeron, does that have a backside as well? Thanks! I'm pretty satisfied with the way it lines up. The cooler does have a backside, here's a close up of my Celeron 333 with the same cooler; https://i.imgur.com/klA5H8fl.jpg …

Re: Seattle2: an early 1999 PC

Oh man, its been a while since I was last able to take some time and update this thread. Work has been crazy, but very rewarding. Here are a few pictures and ramblings on this project… The case paint job is half-way done: The right and top panels are done, and I'm pretty satisfied about the result. …

Re: Pentium II Build and upgrade

Final specs, I just put it in its final home, where it will live for now, its a pain to pull it out so its gonna stay as it is, but Celeron 333 because In truth I want a Pentium II 333 but don't have one, and the Celeron is close enough to that preformance 96mb of PC66 3x32mb Intel AL440LX board …

Re: The story of the QuForce FX 5800 Ultra...

EDIT: oh its just the stock QFX 1000 heatsink! Are the temps ok? Is it LOUD? This is just awesome, you made my day …

Re: How's everyone doing these days?

in Milliways
I'm alright I guess. For a while now I haven't been very active either, but these days I'm working on the most vanilla W98 build ever and I'm having a great time. For some reason I keep buying sound cards, too. 🤷

Re: Seattle2: an early 1999 PC

I'm free from work today and also Monday, so I have some time to play around with this machine. As a small update to my MIDI module adventures: I may have gone a bit too crazy shopping. As mentioned in the previous post, I ordered a nice Roland SC-88ST , currently (still) on its way from Japan to me …

Re: Seattle2: an early 1999 PC

Work continues on this build, slow but steady. Earlier today I took out the CPU and applied some nail varnish to isolate pin B21 and overclock the CPU...
