Do you need anything faster than a Pentium for DOS games, even late ones? Guess not, I'm just trying to use the parts on hand to come up with something that will work without all the "tweaking" I have to do with my P3 setup for the dos games to work. There are actually only two DOS games that I actually use for my Voodoo 1 for: Tomb Raider and Bleifuss 2. Otherwise, you may as well completely skip that.

Yeah png screenshots in say 3dmark and, I dont know, maybe Quake 2 would be great for IQ comparison.. 62xx seems to perform but maybe it is buggy and does not render correctly? Great work as ever though.

A few minor things.. I got this Slot-A Athlon with a Slot-A motherboard recently but the cooler was rather messed up and lacked fans.. Quantum Fireballs are, in my experience, one of the most reliable old IDE hard drives of their time. All my Western Digitals and Seagates of less than 8GB capacity bit it, but my Quantums rock on.

All the people who are saying a phone cam will do is fooling themselves. That said, the best camera in the world won't save you if you do it wrong. Get one that can be set up for color temperature using a cartela, get decent lighting, use a tripod and snap away.

I think it depends on the slotket in question, I have slotkets that have jumpers to be set for C3 CPUs, and others that can only be used for Intel Celeron/Coppermines or Coppermine/Tualatins.

I don't particularly get bothered by budget releases; as long as the box contents are the same (documents, maps, etc.) I tend to buy them regardless. Things are rare enough as they are.
