I had earlier suspected faulty memory and have not only run several memtest86 tests, but also swapped out different RAM to try and all tests fine. Not too sure what it is at fault, but im not sure if its necessary to use on a 386 or not but would like to work out if its a fault or not. LH /L:0;1, …

I have a WD90C30 video card with 1MB of memory (8×256k chips) And speedsys displays it as 768K of memory. Is this just a glitch in the software or is there a fault with the card? I pulled out all the chips, cleaned the sockets and repeated all the chips and still no difference.

They are DOS versions but the AMIBCP2 something I have did not run (think it is corrupt), got it long ago and burned to cd but never got it to work with any old BIOS files. Turns out smartdrv in autoexec.bat is the problem. The other autoexec had a different path to smartdrv.exe and was not even loading. When fixing it and pointing to the correct path, my problem returns. Any idea why disk caching would be an issue?

5x86 is indeed a 486, but with minor differences. The very last of AMD DX/4 chips had the full 16kb internal cache like the X5 as well as the 3x/4x multipliers.
