Maybe you couldn't boot with your Memtest diskette, because you haven't checked in the BIOS the boot secuence. You have to set the floppy drive (or CD, depends on what media you've used) as the first booting device. If you need help doing this, I'm here to help 😀

Didn't you check if there is a new patch for the game? some programs don't like running under xp/2000. The other workaround would be tu run the DOS version under Dosbox, a DOS emulator
