For SIP, you can basically disable it with a reboot to recovery partition - go to terminal, run csrutil disable. Reboot. Voila. For running third party apps without the Gatekeeper nagging you every time, just run on terminal sudo spctl --master-disable and have fun.

1TB is definitely too much. I have a 2013 MBp with a 1TB SSD and I’ve just used almost 100gb so far. You can use newer OS on unsupported macs with dosdude1 patches. I did it to a 2009 iMac and so far its excellent.
