I have a Paradise EGA card that has two cinch connectors besides 9 pin RGB TTL connector. I have never tested the card, since I don't have any EGA monitor, nor upscaler that supports EGA (only OSSC). I wonder if those extra outputs are composite plus maybe sync signal? Also, what are the DIP …

I would assume that the data retention period for the ROMs might be nearing its end of life... if so, that would be easy to fix, since ROM images are available, right? I hope that no other severe damage has been done. This is a mask ROM, and thus it has much longer lifespan than EPROM or flash. I …

Problem solved by installing a VGA card. lol One more thing though, Now that I have a VGA card in the machine I can't use my commodore 1084 monitor with it. I would assume that it attenuates the signal by roughly 50%. Since it doesn’t amplify it probably works as a voltage splitter. But just try it out! Capture device should show a darker picture. Similar to what I experience with different VGA cards. E.g. my cheap Tridents produce much darker pictures …

The early Sierra games (King‘s Quest 1-4, Soace Quest 1-3, …) are EGA compatible. You can try those to see if it‘s about Monkey Island or you have a general problem.

Just start a project on github... and see who joins in. Outline the specs and requirements in the README.md. I for one would suggest trying to target something quite low spec'ed, e.g. 286 at most for the tracker, PC/XT for playback.That way you would get a lot of enthusiasts. For example Adlib …

Also, I believe that those batteries are supposed to be 3.6v, not 1.2. At least that's what mine was labeled as when I removed it. Yes, I was mistaken. I am in the process of removing the battery. It is glued down with hot-melt-glue. Any ideas on how to remove it? Hot air station? Better to use hot …

Yeah, your example is pretty nice. Totally not jealous. I got mine in its original case, a horizontal under-monitor type. It had an oak vga card, and a 40 mb seagate hdd. The power supply also had this stupid little .1 inch header socket wire that was on red/black wires for some reason. The HDD …
