Looking at the settings means he never had that CPU installed in that board. That board is set up for 80486SX (PQFP) & upgrade to Overdrive. Which is not what you have.

Right so pin 1 is labeled at the top of the jumper block. Per the diagram. jp 14 jp 7 both pins 1 and 2 closed JP8 pins 2-3 closed. JP 15 is jumpered on 2-3 I am not sure if that is open i think no jumper is open. As 1-2 and 2-3 are both settings. make it like this picture for that CPU

some of that stuff happened but most of that stuff never happened to me. Mostly becasue I am cheap, and am a hoarder. I also know better about hardware limits and incompatibility. I have learned a lot tho from vogons people and it made me change my opinion a lot.

Just use a voodoo 1 because you are not really going to take advantage of a voodoo 2 with that.

I do not see the purpose of running it 1.8v . You do realize that the CPU requires 2.0v to operate. Running it at 1.8 v is under volting it. While it should work if you reduce the multiplier. i haven't gotten to try it myself, but in theory if you create a ramdisk that leaves ~500mb ram available, it should then be able to run win9x okay. XP would of course run without the ramdisk and use the full amount. I've done the vcache and maxphyspage mods, and gotten 98se to run on 1gb ram, but …
