Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

red-ray wrote on 2020-07-11, 23:14: How is it possible to "show the Vcore" when there is one per core, so four in total? SIV already reports all four of them so to say the least I am confused Just show max or average or something, this is already happening on a normal (non-fivr) system

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I have been trying to figure out what if doing on and given the Chipset ID is NV35 and the BIOS reports it as NV35 I am pretty sure it's an NV35 and have adjusted SIV in light of this. Please let me know what [GPU Info] now reports for your card using the attached SIV64X V5.50 NV35-03 test SIV. …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

It should not be labelled VCore and Core is ambigous, but given the tooltip makes it clear what it is this is no big deal. The SIV64X V5.50 Beta-08 should say VCCIN when the sensor name contains VCCIN, but I am pondering if it should say Vccin , what do you think? Personally I feel like it would be …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Thank you for the report, bay I can't see an issue. SIV is displaying VIN0 VCCIN which is 1.76 volts. I guess you mean VCore (Max) , do you? This is the maximum of the VIDs of the four CPU cores. I meant in the main screen it shows "Core 1.76 volts" (VCCIN value) when it should be saying "Core 0.90 …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Haswell system, in the main screen it shows the FIVR's Vcc as Vcore. Thank you for the report, bay I can't see an issue. SIV is displaying VIN0 VCCIN which is 1.76 volts. I guess you mean VCore (Max) , do you? This is the maximum of the VIDs of the four CPU cores. I meant in the main screen it …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Thank you and all looks OK. I went in via Beta and Older Drivers and https://www.nvidia.co.uk/download/driverResults.aspx/237/en-uk should download 160.02 . It didn't want to install, said something about not being compatible with the hardware, further the PCI device ID (00FE) wasn't listed in the …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

I picked the fullscreen 1024x768 option in that run, according to the FPS counter it was capped at 60, not sure if vsync was on in the drivers or something. Anyway my X850 card doesn't play nice with the monitor ("mode not supported") so I need some time to dig out a more age appropriate one.

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

SIV plays nice with that 'tunnel D3D' tool so the attached file shows the GPU clock changing under full-screen load. The MSR Power values are definitely reasonable, but seems to be using a lookup table based on the CPU clock, doesn't vary with workload. I wasn't able to reproduce your AIDA64 GPU + …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Aside from the screenshot I posted there are no other options for adjusting the power limit, turbo durations, etc. I've reinstalled the latest 2010 ATI drivers so that the GPU isn't stuck in idle clocks. HWInfo shows clocks properly, SIV being open during the benchmark still causes lockups. update: …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

It's a normal X1950 XTX, not the crossfire master version, but I totally forgot that on this card I have a modded VBIOS with a 'baked in' overclock. Oops. Just so it didn't cause any trouble I restored the original VBIOS, but it didn't fix the SIV/3dmark06 lockups. Neither did playing with the …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Okay so I just reseated the memory over and over until all 12 GB were detected in both the BIOS and Windows. Memory slots might be going bad :( I also noticed the GPU fan connector was coming loose, thankfully before I ran any benchmarks. I tried running 3dmark06 with SIV open but I got a black …

Re: SIV support for 386/486/586 class + Alpha CPUs and 3dfx + S3 + SiS + Matrox + XGI + old ATI + NVidia GPUs - Testing

Here's just the X1950 XTX for now, I'm having trouble getting the system to POST consistently and it seems to be caused by the card. SIV has trouble reading the GPU clocks, also it correctly figures out triple channel memory but doesn't realize there's 3 dimms. I also just realized that GPU-Z …
