Does anyone know who this Sound card is programmed ? Do you need to run the install program to configure the eprom on this sound card ? Or can you just change the settings in Autoexec.bat and config.sys ?

More benchmarks. I don’t know why Speedsys reports the wrong CPU info. And wrong MHz. Speed. But the benchmark score appears to be correct.

Does anyone have any info on the jumper settings for this card ? Right now it's non-functional without the correct jumper settings. It looks like a nice card. I would hate not being able to use it.

I installed a SB16 CT2950 in my 486 computer. It has a CDROM drive attached to the IDE interface. But the CDROM drive sometimes works and sometimes it does not. I already swapped the IDE ribbons. It is setup as a 486dx2-66 but what make CPU I can not confirm because the jumpers to select the CPU brand are missing and the manual lists nothing about this only that Cyrix/Intel/AMD are supported.

Ugh ! ...I have some of those micronics motherboards in Gateway 2000 486 desktop computers. I hate that bios. I have only been able to get one to work. Those motherboards are very limited. These VLB motherboards at least have a better bios.

Not having 4 sticks of ram in my original choice of motherboard may have been why it would not post. As I only had 2 sticks of ram in it. Duh !
