Yeah that R35 looks in a tough shape. One thing I can recommend is getting a cotton pad and some Isopropyl Alcohol and give a gentle rub to the golden pins of the connector (both sides). It has worked for me many times for cards that have been in storage for some time.

Option 3 IMO... - Honestly I wouldn't trust even the best 15 year old PSU. Caps are unpredictable. - Good quality Sata to Molex adapters (Copper AWG 18 if I recall correctly) are almost impossible to find. Probably isn't the best idea. If you already have the 7800 at hand you might give it a go. If not, don't buy it. Also, your Ryzen system doesn't support Win7... IMO your best bet at older games is getting a cheap used Gtx 960.
