You can try the "minipro" software which is native. It works fine with SPI flash but has trouble with NAND. https://gitlab.com/DavidGriffith/minipro

Sadly SETMUL freezes when I use it to change frequency. Can you share details on your board version (1.0/1.1/1.3) and BIOS? What version of SETMUL do you use?

Unfortunately I can't remember exactly my tests, but from what I read online, that motherboard is not capable of running FSB at 133 MHz.

I'm pretty sure I've traced down the Flatout2 instability to a setting in the KT7A's BIOS called "Enhance Chip Performance" under the "Softmenu III" category... I had to clear the CMOS on this board recently because I was experimenting with different heatsinks and CPUs, and the problem came back. …

From the point of view of the monitor, it cannot easily distinguish 720x400 from 640x400 so all LCD monitors I've tested assume it's 720x400 and you get some doubled pixels. I am also using an NV25, it's the Ti 4200 (clocked lower). This could explain the results indeed. Perhaps the Zalman cooler helps as well.

I have noticed some PCI slots can be more finicky than others. If possible, also try to change the PCI slot.

Did you give the 4200 a try? I haven't tested it with the Voodoo2 but it works fine with 3.

Yes, this is for the 1.0-1.2, he also has the 1.3 BIOS there... I don't know the intricacies so much of that board revision, though I will attach my modified version of his BIOS to unhide APM (disable ACPI). I did this with modbin63, and I can't share that here, you will have to find it yourself. …

Anybody got Voodoo2 working on Abit KT7A? Tried two different cards, different PCI-slots, original and Fastvoodoo 4.6 drivers, PCI-related bios-settings, slow CPU down to 400MHz... Nothing helps, damn thing just crash when try to run Glide. OS is Windows 98SE. Anybody? This problem is making me …
