Yes, quite a few games don't really play nice with Win9x's DOS Box. I don't know of any list and depending on the hardware you are using games will behave differently. This is wrong. Neither the GeForce 2 MX-400 and even less so the TNT2 saturate AGP 2x's bandwidth. AGP 4x does nothing for these chips. Even if it did, it is likely that the K6-2+ doesn't have enough juice to drive them. AGP bandwidth has been discussed multiple times in the past, AGP 8x wasn't …

No miniGL on GeForce. GLQuake is using OpenGL for which GeForce provides a full ICD. The extensions expose this feature!

The reason Quake is so much faster on GeForce is the HW T&L, which Quake can make use of and is particularly impressive on a slow CPU such as the K6 series.

Before you go ahead and return the card, I'd try older drivers. 7.76 is a good start. I'd also download a version of Everest from around 2004, this can give us far better insight on what card you have in your system.

Get the original CD image and perform an installation, the game should run just fine afterwards.

That's complete misinformation. Rage 128 and especially Rage 128 Pro are very competent GPUs for their vintage. You just gotta know the hardware's limits. The original Rage and Rage II were fairly bad, as were most other vendors' offerings. Rage Pro was fairly decent.
