Yes, a Sound Blaster 16 or Vibra16 can be used in a 286 and even give 16-bit audio in the diagnostic program. I've tested both. Good luck finding a game that will run on a 286 and can also use 16-bit samples, though. I'd much prefer an OG Sound Blaster, but an Vibra16 is what's in my (still …

Working on OPL2LPT Support 😀 And on internal variables rename + "MODM Sound System" Doc. While I am writing this, I realize that After GLX Player, Carlos worked on on Galaxy Sound System and was hired by Epic. I don't expect this, my code is obsolete 😀

Hi, I found the problem, it was a Fast Tracker 2 Volume column effect variable not initialized correctly. I will release the b18 with this bug removed as it is really not good.

I tried Matze79's LPT DAC the other day -- and it works. But only at ~10KHz. More and you get choppy sound. Is this expected? I guess so, since the 386 is bit banging the LPT port. Hi, It is not really expected to bug at more than 10KHz. I will test one day. I can test now with DOSBOX anyway 😀 Tested: No problem with DOSBox, so there is no software bug like buffer overflow. Maybe an hardware bug ? 10KHz on a 386 is really low
