Update... Well i have a pile (>10) of these suntac boards. All of them are dead. seems like the chipset and board were just not up to the Test of time. Shame as they could have been a nice board but are now a source of BIOS chips and RAM. They are a mix of DIP and SIP, Jumpers and switches.

The extra cache will make a minor difference. a couple of FPS in games. There is a few extra Instructions tacked on as well that may or not be noticed when running some windows apps. It will however give you a Bosting point that you have the Fastest and Best P3 cpu!

I agree with the General Play. I built this to play some of the older games like they were played. No one I knew had top of the line 486's in the early 90's.. If you did then good for you but majority of people had the basics as they were so expensive (Here in Aust.) I went overkill with the 16MB …

Ok I have it all working in my setup with the caps changed as they were bad and using the creative drivers. Everyone has there own way. The creatve drivers dont need the seperate TSR to work. But hay dosnt matter as what i have working must be wrong.....

For recapping of older cards such as that i keep on hand mostly the Panasonic branded Micro sized caps. The Kemet ones are good but in BULK! the Panasonic worked out better from element14 (Aust.). As far as the way they work electrically they are identical for our purposes and better than most …

Good work on the Power supply. Just for note - Power Good is generated by the motherboard and sent back to the PSU to say "All GOOD" some powersupplies use that signal to switch off if not generated. Plug it into the motherboard and you should find all will be ok with power.

Looks like the Ensonic Audio PCI that i had in a HP Pivilon back in the day. Its Amplifier was powerful enough to power the POLK Audio speakers that mounted to the side of the CRT Monitor.
