The Pi Zero W is widely available, but not the Zero 2 W. Per the project page "Pi Zero (original) and Pi 1 are unfortunately too slow (even with an overclock) and unsupported."

About audio.... I have a feeling this could perhaps involve more work than it's worth? 😬 AFAIK HDMI only supports digital audio, I think the most compatible and least complex would be stereo uncompressed linear PCM @ 192kHz/24bit, which means you'd need an appropriate ADC and hook it up, probably …

What did you need to do to get HDMI out working, and are there any graphics modes it doesn't deal with well via HDMI? I got some connectors and crimp pins for my SM750 card's sockets.

Desoldered and reprogrammed in a socket and it worked fine. I guess my SOIC clip is just a cheap piece of junk 😀

Well I think I have a bad SPI flash IC! It's failing verification when I try to write, and at different addresses each time. I'll try desoldering it to program it instead of using the SOIC clip.

If I boot with any SD card inserted (even a blank one) it freezes at "Booting from Hard Disk..." and also freezes after launching the BIOS config or boot menu. Well, the DX supports PCI and the DX2 supports PCIe, so that's kind of a huge difference there which is likely to significantly affect the pinout of the module 😀

Tried with my iron but I kept flowing solder onto the metal cage of the slot instead of the pins, it's a bit tight in there. I'll dab a bit of solder paste onto each pin and break out the hot air.
