Its definitely not plastic. Its a metal shell fitting on top of the mouse. Its pretty heavy too. It is silver... What else would a silversmith use? Theres always a crank on these forums isnt there? I have been playing through warcraft 2 and sometimes it will crash with this error. Sometimes other games will crash out too. Seems to only crash during playing windows games. DOS seems fine.

So to update this a bit. I found a rage 2 + DVD GPU the other day and replaced the voodoo 3 with it. I havent gotten any reboots since , but I need to test it more. Played a bunch of old games on my Pentium 1 this weekend after fixing it up. The details on the issue can be found here... Pentium CPU issue But I played some street fighter alpha , Tomb Raider 1 and 3, Fallout 1 and FX Fighter. I also streamed some TR 3 .
