^ vmware 3d drivers for winxp are better than those of virtualbox 6.x (I tested both and both are crap) those 3d drivers in vmware are outdated and lot of games don't work with it, so are usable only for some not very complex 3d games such drivers are from 2014 or so ,and haven't been updated since, …

the voodoo 3 sucks for directx and opengl games, ie maxpayne,rayman 2, serious sam, for win9x8 is better to add a geforce 6600gt or a 6800 or so those gfx cards are very cheap rught now and 10x faster than the voodoo 3, for glide games there are glide wrappers which work

your sound stuff for DOS is perfect, don't touch it do not add nothing new what could be improved on that pc would be the mainboard and cpu instead such compaq 486/66 Id say that a pentium 100 or 133mhz + a good asus motherboard for it will enhance the total experience
