About the LED display - yes there is a place for the LED display, it's not installed. I only have a LED display that can go up to 199 MHz and this PC is 233MHz, somehow I don't like setting an arbitrary number :-). I would not recommend socket 478 just because of that plastic CPU cooler bracket. For socket 775 there's more choices in terms of cooling and availability is good
