I think bisqwit's adlmidi already have mappings for those IBKs, in addition to Duke Nukem 3D and Doom, so I'm probably not going to bother with those. I would've thought the same regarding using an older motherboard but on my other Windows 98 system I have a older motherboard with an ISA Slot and when I inserted the Live card in that PC and installed the latest drivers the same error message came up in SBEGO.EXE. Any suggestions on getting YMF724-based PCI cards working? Obviously there are no Win7 x64 drivers. I do have a spare card lying around which doesn't have a preamp.

Don't get me wrong. It still sounds good and technically they are still 4-operator patches, just that the overall algorithm used is about as good as layering two 2op patches together.
