I'm assuming you didn't use Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider? You need to run this utility to sign the cmipci.sys file in order for the driver to work at all times with Windows in Test Mode. The assumption is wrong. Used it previously. Just tried it again anyway. Same deal applies. Driver …

Test mode isn't the problem. It's Driver Signature Enforcement. If using an unsigned driver, previous versions used to keep it there no dramas (mind you I have not formatted my desktop machine since it was upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 last year). CMI8738 driver while it will still install under Win10 Anniversary update (currently on Build 14393.rs1), it will ONLY function when manually booting with Disable Driver Signature Enforcement. Hi. Just necroposting to say that I decided to upgrade my desktop from Win7 x64 to Win10 x64 today. Custom CMI8738 driver with OPL3 mode enabled by default confirmed still working (disable driver signature enforcement). Respective Inpout32.dll also still works under Win10 x64. 😀

YU-NO was never released at IBM-PC DOS. But it was notable someone made PC-playable patch about "DK4" and "Kakyusei". Your upload is very good OPL composing compare to horrible commercial OPL3 FM synth games. In my opinion, for good OPL music, an instrument should not use just one channel of FM. So …

khokh2001's core is all integer arithmetic, however it still has a few minor bugs in the emulation output (particularly for more complex/highly modulated waveforms). The core used in DOSBox is still more accurate, as far as comparing to genuine Yamaha OPL3 output goes. 😀
