This Compaq Contura Aero 4/25 with PCMCIA floppy. It works and it's in good shape. Also it has a dead Duracell battery pack which looks fitted with 4 x 18650. This type of battery was introduced in 1994. TabWorks from Xerox it's the default Windows 3.1 interface. (I like it!!!)

May I ask what nvidia drivers you used? I have a 7800GT PCI-e card in my prescott so I assume whatever driver you used should work. Also is there any need for special patches for cpu speed and having 2GB of RAM Driver version is 82.69, these are some "modded" drivers. (only .inf is modified) - …

Might be a broken card or some bad drivers, although those for NT 3.1 should be as legit as they can be... Still, I can't rule out the cabling problem... I will make a crossover cable.

I can't ping my router... Well, for such an old 10mbit card there shouldn't be any 64bit SIGNED drivers. But there are... and I can install this card even in Windows 11. (just did it) It does nothing until I select UTP port, then starts blinking... (definitely there is communication at driver level) …

Does it come with an BIOS Option ROM ? If it has one then Menu->Hardware->BIOS Tables->BIOS Option ROM should list it. If it's not there then drives on it can't be booted. What is it's Device Class ? There is no ROM chip on this Tekram controller, I did check with SIV and obviously nothing shows up …

One more. Tekram DC-6X0 is specific card and oriented on VERY early PCI realization, poorly compatible with anything higher than late 486/ early P1 motherboard and req’s ISA slot for paddle-board. So its bad idea to try it with modern (late 1996/7) motherboards. Good to know, not on my list anymore …
