WD-40 is well suited for getting seized fans to spin again and detaching any unwanted junk from the whole bearing/shaft/etc. assembly. For the actual lubrication part you'll want something like sewing machine or bike chain oil.

Have you got HDD DMA mode enabled? I've found I cannot enable DMA with a TC430HX and ST380215A so there are some CPU hiccups thanks to PIO Mode 4.

I noticed this OEM ASUS Socket 423 board. Green is the superior PCB color so if regular ASUS bios can be crossflashed, it's better than the "real" product. I've already got one from Fujitsu that works but requires recapping and this happened to cost only as much as the new caps. 865.jpg 867.jpg
