Update: the driver that's supposedly patched for VIA-VT82C686A/B appears to be somewhat broken. I've used HWINFO 6.13 to check all sorts info and we should be able to use DMA channel 1 with D-DMA base of 8000. Except setupds cannot succeed in doing so.

The power supply I use is a 400W Seasonic FL. It was the final component to a fully passively cooled retro PC. Is there any tutorial online where I can learn how to mod any power supply? Would I be able to cut it if I desoldered the 440BX and replaced it with a 440GX?

You know what? Screw it. I've posted the sources on https://github.com/grepwood/e_wise and right now they're decoded so anyone can actually work with them on a modern system. I'll be gradually re-writing this in plain C.
