Have you tried running it directly from Windows? Windows version of Fallout is pretty stable on Windows XP as I've played it through and didn't experience any problems with it.

With DosBox 0.72 on Windows XP SP3 I had best results with output=ddraw regarding speed and picture quality. I always found overlay glitchy and opengl somewhat slow with some games.

You could try using UniRefresh or VBEHz to force refresh rate to 60Hz.

AFAIK, that card doesn't have native OpenGL support, but uses Direct3D-to-OpenGL wrapper.

What environment is used to compile official DOSBox releases? I ask because I would like to setup similar if not the same environment to compile my own DOSBox from CVS, test out patches, make hacks and such. Thank you in advance. 😁
