Re: Mixer for computer collection

I use a 6-channel mini mixer and it works and sounds great: https://www.amazon.com/Moukey-MK0149-RD-FR-Ultra-Low-Noise-6-Channel/dp/B08BBXK8CY/. This brand also makes 4 and 8 channel versions of this mixer. I'd love something with quick mute buttons but for only $26 the value is pretty incredible. …

Re: Mixer for computer collection

I have a Rolls MX42, which looks functionally identical to the one you linked. It worked well but I needed more channels. I'm currently using a Behringer RX1602 and I really like that it has quick mute buttons so I can toggle the sound sources quickly. What I don't like about it though is the …

Mixer for computer collection

Has anyone any experience with using a mixer for your computer collection? I'm trying to tidy the cave a bit, so I though I'd add one set of speakers to cover 4 computers, including two Roland SoundCanvas modules. I've been looking at this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/203661746377?_trkparms= …

Re: Voodoo Banshee and 3DMark 99 issues

Try to install dx7 That did the trick. Tried reinstalling DX6, and everything worked fine in DXDiag, but it would only test 3D acceleration in software mode. That made me suspicious. Got a hold of DX7a and installed it - now everything works. 3DMark 99 requires only DX6, but I suspect the Voodoo …

Re: Voodoo Banshee and 3DMark 99 issues

Thanks! Driver version is 4.12.01.1157 - It's the official Guillemot drivers, and according to the VOGONS library the lates ones available. I haven't installed any separate version of DX, but I had an S3 Virge card installed before the Voodoo, and 3DMark 99 ran fan with that installed...

Voodoo Banshee and 3DMark 99 issues

Hi! I've just installed a new PCI Guillemot Maxi Gamer Phoenix in my Pentium II system. It's a Voodoo Banshee. I downloaded the drivers from the VOGONS library and installed them after updating the VGA BIOS to the version included in the drivers (which was newer than the BIOS on the card). Initial …

AWE64 not working with Civilization DOS/Win95

I'm having a strange issue, and if anyone has any idea what might be wrong, I'd be very happy to know. I'm using a Sound Blaster AWE 64 / Pentium II-233 / Voodoo Banshee When I restart Windows 95 in MS-DOS mode I can't get sound in Civilization. I've tried other DOS-games like "The Games: Winter …

Re: ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP in Windows 95

My experience is that there's like a single driver that will GlQuake but that that will then (for example) limit your Windows desktop resolution. Drivers are a huge crapshoot. It would not surprise me if you had to use drivers from Fujitsu to keep your computer to be stable. My experience from that …

Re: ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP in Windows 95

Nice to see someone wanting to use Rage Pro as main card. They are capable enough to produce nice gameplay experience for P1/early P2 systems. Let us know what is your experience with it ;). Will do if I get it up and running! I'm waiting for a few parts to arrive. Ordered a new slot 1 holder as …

ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP in Windows 95

Hi! I'm having trouble Win 95 OSR2 with USB Supplements and an onboard ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP chip. It should be powerful enough for pre Windows 98 games. I've tried a few different driver versions that claim to be Windows 9x compatible, but no luck so far. It's a pretty common chip, both for onboard …

Re: ATI Radeon 9200 AGP card in Windows 95?

Hi! Did you ever resolve this? I'm having the exact same problem with Win 95 OSR2 and an onboard ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP chip. I've tried a few different driver versions, but the only ones I can find online are from 98/99. They claim to be Windows 95 compatible, but no luck so far. I get the same error …
