It seems to be. This computer comes with German DOS version so I bet it was used there. Date code early 1986 so I'm pretty positive it comes from Western Germany.

Just to add. WinXP isn't able to open the A: floppy due to I/O error so I'm using WinImage to make the floppies. Wonder if this is some kind of barrier to this virus.

Maybe. Frankly speaking I have no idea if the HDD is terminated. There is no socket for terminator resistor pack under the drive, or there is no jumper labeled ' termination'. But since it is working with other controller and was working with this one I guess it is.

I have booted that laptop from real HDD. Installed DOS onto Cf card, made its image using Win32DiskImager and recorded it onto HDD. Now it is working with CHS of the CF card, so despite it being 20GB drive it's working. Now I onlt need to fix that FDD.

I have tried the second 256MB card, because of the fact that it is not giving me 'HDD controller failure' I tried to format it using Diagnostics ROM that is build inside AMI BIOS, and weird thing happen. It said it was formated and yet it wasn't. When connected to other PC it got all the files

Yup, I deleted a partition and the formatted it. But I have did that like 20 times already so don't know what's going on
