It looks like your jumper free mode jumber might be in the wrong position (looking at the manual) the other thing to check is to make sure your RAM is PC100/133 as you can't have a FSB of 100 with PC66 RAM.

Looks like replacing that one cap and redoing CTCU and fighting the auto config a few times got it working the issue now is in the synthesized test i got a hung note /feed back Maybe i should give up?

CTCM does not read the BLASTER variable, it only writes it if you want to change how CTCM configures the card you need to use CTCU So you can't run CTCU in Windows 98 SE dos, never mind you can. :) Found a post talking about how it checks for a variable called winbootdir, if it exists the program …

Neat, I may look at the ISA card because I just think that's just plain sexyer. The link I put appears to work with a generic USB RS232 and the PI's built in USB ports, not pretty by any means but I have PI's lying around. The PiPico looks really cool, thanks for the tips!
