I had SiS620-based Socket-370 mainboard by Jetway in late 90s. Typical cheap mainboard with poor 3D capabilities simply integrated graphics.

NEC/Renesas-based card works on most older motherboard. Othervise, VIA chip more capricious and incompartible with most older motherboards.

The Epson LQ were daisy wheel and LX were dot matrix, IIRC. I think I had one of each many years ago, but no longer remember the models.
