As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, the version on REMOVED works fine. I've used it on several XP machines, and I also installed it on a Windows 98 SE machine by using KernelEX. Yes it installs Steam, but it won't connect or update, and you should use MSConfig to disable it from starting …

I was getting constant crashing with 64bit; 32bit is waaay more stable; and performance/visuals look the same. So if you are getting consistent crashing switch to the 32bit exe; you won't notice the difference in performance because it is the same AND you won't crash.

Well, it's not truly volumetric... it's an ancient naive method from Q3 that tries to project a stencil shadow based on a local lightgrid vector and it looks *very wrong*.
