I had similar problems with my asus p5q board (which also has a ich10), where either the drivers supplied with the board or downloaded from the internet did not work. Ended up solving it by selecting ich9 instead, in the "F6 menu".

You can tell linux not to use the apic with the noapic option in the linux command line. If you use grub, you can press e to edit the line just before linux boots.

Copy code to clipboard 1 c++config.h 2 123456789.1 has more than 8 characters in the filename hence why it will fail in DOS. When the compiler and associated .h files were unzipped the names got shortened to 8 chars. No idea how to fix it yet.
