Somehow I got this to work in Dosbox in the past, but I don't remember what I did.

I think this is a case of where the PC Gamer version of the demo is simply a bad version. I am going to try this other version that is already setup for dosbox.

I am running into a problem with getting the old Thunderscape demo to work on the PC Gamer demo disc. I am getting the "mouse shape" error. I bet I need to set ems=false.

I got it to work in a Windows 10 VM. For some reason, I am getting black lines on the lens flares.

AH. One thing I did not try is putting it in Win10 compatiblity mode. That may be an idea.

The patch that enhances the game uses OpenGL, so I can't use dgvoodoo2. I did get the game to work with HD movies in a Win10 VM. So, it is fine now. I have no idea why it will not work in Win11 on my laptop.

This is also on a laptop, so that may be a factor. It might be trying to use my Intel graphics instead of my Geforce.

I am going to try running it with WinXP and OpenGL in 86Box.

If I just do a straight gog install, mine just brings up a grey screen with the mouse pointer in the middle and quits. So, something is going on with my Win11.

Now, I am going to try to get it to work with WinXP in 86Box. I want to see if the K-Lite codec will work in that emulator. Vmware seems to cause problems with games.

The gog version of Wing Commander Prophecy will not work in WIndows 11. I have applied the OpenGL patch and the Enhancement patch and it still does not work. It just gives a black screen and quits. It does work fine in Windows 10. I got it to work in a VM with Windows XP, but I cannot get the HD …

I am trying a Pentium II and Voodoo 3 setup in PCem. I am installing Quake 2 to test it out. I may need to install a Direct X update. I was hoping Quake 2 would have that.

I play this in Duckstation. Runs great. Use the preview build of Duckstation. They are always updating it.

I have one problem with PCem. I have a Pentium with Voodoo 2 setup on one and it does not play cd audio worth a crap. It stutters. If I use a cd image, it works fine. This is annoying because many old games use cd audio.
